Did you know that today is a national holiday--it's national underwear day. I know ridiculous right. But maybe next year instead of sending out Christmas cards I'll send NUD cards.
But to that end, I thought I'd share that today I'm wearing Black Calvin Klein trunks--it's in between a brief and a boxer brief. So they don't ride up like boxer briefs. What about you? What are you wearing to celebrate this day?
I have to say I tend to celebrate everyday.

I'm wearing my pink Jockey boy shorts with lace trim -- they also don't ride but are still a little girly. They are my number one favorite style and probably my number 2 favorite color. I'm partial to the chocolate brown ones I have in the same style!
I did not know about NUD but this may be a day that I need to remember. I'm fond of my underwear and have definite favorites that are my go-tos for stressful days.
Perhaps you'll also remember my deeply philosophical question about underwear that I once asked at an FPP gathering. It's the ongoing debate in my house. I say that my Jockey boy shorts have an inherent color that is there whether or not the light of day is hitting them. My husband says that unless they see the light of day my Jockey's are colorless. I understand that scientifically he may be right. But I think existentially I am.

I agree with you, Amy. It's the same idea as when you wear particularly sexy or fancy underwear even though no one else is going to see it. YOU still know it's there, and that's all that matters. It makes you feel different than you would if you were just wearing plain, boring underwear. So I agree that existentially your underwear is always pink (or whatever color you know it is).
Mike, however, concurs with Hans. He is only thinking scientifically.
Does that mean that if I wear Granny Panties I could existentially be wearing a bright red lace thong?
