Coffee Break

Alright, my friend Alan and I have taken up residence most afternoons during the week in a coffee shop near his house. The shop is called Farley's and I love it. It has a really good vibe. And it is much better than my office at the church. (Although my biggest complaint is that I've been coming here nearly ever day during the week for the last month or so, ordering the exact same thing--a cup of Earl Grey tea for here. And yet everyday they still look at me as if it my first time in the shop and the following dialogue happens:
Coffee Shop worker: "What can I get you"
Me: Cup of Earl Grey
Coffee Shop worker: "For here or to go"
Me: For here.
As if today everything is going to change.)

Anyway none of that is point of this post. The point is that Alan and I have taken to looking out the window and waiting for the guy who lives across the street to come home. He is cute but often he is also shirtless. I don't know when he takes off his shirt but usually it is off when he gets home. We get disappointed when he is wearing his shirt. It all reminds me of the old diet coke commercial where the women would gather at their office window every afternoon for a diet coke break which was really to watch the hot construction worker across the street without his shirt on drinking a diet coke. We have become those women who ogle a the hottie across the street. I'm embedding the commercial below. Thank you YouTube.

I leave tomorrow for Philly to be with my young clergy group. I'm very, very excited. Plus I get to see my college roommate who I haven't seen in probably about 10 years. All in all it should be a good time.
